We look to the past to shape our future. Who are you? Where are you going from here?

My name is Sarah Goldman. I’m from Birmingham, Alabama and I’m a Student at the University of Minnesota/Guthrie BFA Actor Training Program. I plan to move to New York and shake up the world with a little theatre!

What most excites you about being a part of TAM’s 50th Anniversary Season?

I love birthdays, anniversaries, and celebrations! I’m excited to tell these incredible stories to the TAM audiences that made this 50th Anniversary possible!

We’re all about making old things new and new things classic. Why are you drawn to Classic Theatre? How do you shake it up?

I love classic theatre because it’s like a puzzle piece! All the answers are there, you just have to dig for them. There is also a reason why they’re classics and why the audiences come back to hear these wonderful stories. What a privilege we have as actors to take these audiences for a ride! I shake it up with perspective. These classics are always new to someone!

Who inspires you and why?

I’m inspired by Ruby Dee because she used her art to change to world.

You can have dinner with any three influential people. Who are your dream guests, why them, and what is the topic of conversation?

Ruby Dee for her wisdom, Jane Austin for her wit, and Maya Angelou for her words. My topic of conversation would be what does it mean to be an artist.

What recent accomplishment are you most proud of?

Getting cast at my first Summer Repertory Theatre!

What’s your super power?

Listening!
