We look to the past to shape our future. Who are you? Where are you going from here?
I’m Quinn Corcoran, a young actor and creator who grew up outside of Reading, Pennsylvania and fell in love with performing from his many performances with both community and professional theater companies.
A graduate of Pace University in New York, I’ve worked with many wonderful companies, often performing in musical theatre shows like Into the Woods, Sweeney Todd, Spamalot, and recently completing my first national tour with the wonderful company TheatreWorks USA!
What most excites you about being a part of TAM’s 50th Anniversary Season?
Being apart of TAM’s 50th season has been an exciting and challenging accomplishment! This is the first time I’m performing with a professional Shakespeare company, and my first two-hander (where I play piano too, no less)!
We’re all about making old things new and new things classic. Why are you drawn to Classic Theatre? How do you shake it up?
I love the grandness of Classic Theatre! I love how everyone can find something to relate to, and I believe that’s because the classics are classics because they have something to say about the human condition that transcends time!
Who inspires you and why?
I’m inspired by great writing like that you’ll find with artists like Lynn Nottage and other brilliant playwrights. I’m also inspired by the moving performances of my fellow company members!
You can have dinner with any three influential people. Who are your dream guests, why them, and what is the topic of conversation?
I’d have dinner with Billy Joel because he’s my favorite musical artist, Jim Carrey because he’s one of my favorite actors, and Quentin Tarantino because he’s one of my favorite filmmakers, and we’d talk about the art that influenced us.
What recent accomplishment are you most proud of?
As a recent college graduate, I’m proud to say that I’ve spent this entire previous year as a working actor, and I hope to continue this good fortune for my years to come!
What’s your super power?
My superpower is the power of fun! Because I like to bring a playful spirit and open heart to everything I do! But also, if I could fly, that would be cool, too.
