Sure, we know the summer is known for romance, baseball, and hot dogs…but what about MURDER???
Think about it: When the sun sets and we gather around the campfires with our friends, do we snuggle in close and talk about taxes? Nooooooo! We tell stories of slaughter. Untimely deaths. Killers with no remorse.
Being scared out of our minds is an inalienable right of summer, and Frederick Knott has written the perfect play to keep us up at night. He tells us, “trust no one,” except the person who brought you to the theater tonight. I mean, you know them really well…right?
Knott encourages the tingly feeling at the base of your neck that you get when you’re sure someone is watching you but you can’t quite pinpoint who it is. He relishes the truly sick sensation you get when you close the car door and talk yourself into believing no one is crouched behind the back seat as you drive away—down a very dark and winding country road.

Fuller, Jr., who unmercifully badgered three artistic directors over the course of 30 years and more to put it on (his words, not mine).
