There are many ways to play a part at Theater at Monmouth– from employment and internships to volunteering and ushering, and supporting the Theater as a donor—we are always looking for ambassadors to help us make great art for the community.
Employment
Theater at Monmouth recognizes the value of a company comprised of highly skilled people from different backgrounds. We’re looking for theatre artists eager to join a strong ensemble company and interested in teamwork, collaboration, and artistic growth, in a creatively charged atmosphere in a beautiful rural community in Central Maine.

Internships and Apprenticeships
Each year, early career theatre artists, technicians, and administrators start their professional journey at Theater at Monmouth. Members of the intern and apprentice company work alongside artists and professionals to produce the summer season at one of the nation’s only classical repertory theatre.
Approximately nine weeks in length, professional internships and apprenticeships are season-long, full-time commitments. Schedules are rigorous. All interns receive a stipend, housing, and meals. Ready to embark on the next stage of your career?

Volunteers
Interested in supporting the work of Maine’s only professional summer repertory theatre? Whether you are looking for Community Service hours for graduation, a way to see great theatre at a discount, or an opportunity to meet new people in the community, volunteering with Theater at Monmouth is the perfect opportunity. We need support in audience services including ushers, concessions, and gift shop; in marketing helping to hang posters and get the word out to the community; in fundraising working on a special events; and assisting on a more regular basis in our office.

Auditions
TAM casts both Equity and non-Equity actors in our company through annual Equity Principal Auditions (EPAs) in Maine and New York, through General Auditions at our theatre, and at colleges throughout the country. Auditions are open by appointment; EPAs follow all applicable Eastern Region LOA Audition Rules.
If you live outside New York or Maine, and would like to be considered for an audition, please submit your headshot and resume to boxoffice@theateratmonmouth.org. We will contact you to arrange an online audition if you fit one of the roles in our season.
